ABOUT ISLAND FRESH

Island Fresh began with a simple dream in 2020 — a humble little store with a big heart, created to serve the Pacific community in Dunedin. Our founder, Regina, saw the growing need for a space that celebrated and catered to the flavours, traditions, and spirit of our people from the Islands and answered that need with love, care, and determination.

What started as a small store has grown into a vital hub for families, schools, organisations, and communities not only in Dunedin but throughout Otago and even further across Aotearoa. Island Fresh is more than a store, it’s a reflection of our culture, our values, and our deep sense of community.

The Pacific Island population in Dunedin and the wider Otago region continues to grow and flourish. From students and professionals to multi-generational families, our community is strong, resilient, and vibrant and Island Fresh exists to support that spirit. Whether it’s essentials for a school event or cultural supplies for special occasions, we’re here for you.

We’ve proudly worked with and supplied organisations across the South Island including various schools and tertiary institutions.
